Characters

To help build our Shadow lets take two of the example characters from the Solipsist rulebook and treat them as the players of my game. My choices are Toria and Grant (who appear on pages 92 and 93). In case you don't have the book to hand here is a summary of their Visions and Traits.

Toria

My Vision is of a world covered by ocean, where no humans exist. I am the mermaid princess of this underwater kingdom.

Obsessions

• I want to have a house by the sea
• I want to become a mermaid
• I want to breathe water
• I want to free the killer whales
• I want to see the sea cover the Earth

Limitations

• My son would die
• My family love me
• I cannot swim
• I hate what being alone does to me
• My pet snake cannot breathe water

Grant

My Vision is of an endless and glorious summer, where the flowers are ever in bloom and in the balmy evenings my new-found friends drink wine with me and smile.

Obsessions

• I want to be with my friends
• I want to meet new people
• I have enough wine for me and my friends
• I want the summer to never end
• I want better weather

Limitations

• I can't get away from my ex, Lauren
• I must fight the Shadows
• I upset people
• It's always raining
• I am an angry drunk
