Harry Gilmore Wells (played by Jay Shaffstall jshaffstall@gmail.com)

1 Tear, 6 Infestation

VISION

H.G.'s vision: To usher in a utopian age through contact with advanced aliens who populate the galaxy. This Galactic League makes Earth a member through H.G.'s efforts. Death and disease would be overcome through advanced alien technology, and the frontiers of science would be pushed back beyond our imagination. H.G. would be instrumental in the First Contact, and would remain as the alien's most trusted human ambassador, given perks and benefits beyond measure.

BACKGROUND

One of H.G.'s trademark characteristics is his beat up ball cap, and he always has a dog-eared paperback with the front cover ripped off in his back pocket.

Harry Gilmore Wells ("call me H.G.") has been fascinated by science fiction since he could read. He'd raid the trash bins of the local bookstores and grab all the discarded SF he could carry. To this day, he doesn't know what any of the covers look like, since those are torn off before the books are trashed, but he has read them all more than once. H.G. is currently 15 years old.

James Johnson (played by Frank J. Perricone)

0 Tear, 3 Infestation

VISION

My Vision is a world where faeries hide behind every bush. They were always there, but disliked humans and hid from them, popping out only to play pranks on them when they wouldn't get caught. I made friends with them, and now they treat humans nicely, though they're still shy of most humans: I'm the only one they really like to spend time with.

OBSESSIONS

  • I want to be the one human that the faeries get along well with (3)
  • I want to find proof that faeries have always been here (2)
  • I want to make contact with and be a sort of ambassador to the faeries (2)
  • I want to learn all the secret knowledge the faeries have (1)
  • I want to be involved in merry pranks like those the faeries do (1)
  • Shadow Taint (1)

LIMTIATIONS

  • I'm not good enough for the faeries to like me more than other humans (3)
  • Humans are too mean for faeries to ever live amongst them (2)
  • I need to make my parents proud of me (2)
  • I don't need the idea of faeries for the world to be beautiful (1)
  • I like having things around that the faeries don't like (1)

BACKGROUND

James is an ambitionless, ne'er-do-well child of blue-collar parents in Pennsylvania. His parents always wanted him to become something important, a doctor, a lawyer, a scientist, a poet, something. Or at least move out of their basement, meet a nice girl, and get a real job.

Samuel Tuttle (usually either called "Sam" or "Tuttle") (played Peter Kisner)

3 Tears, 2 Infestation

VISION

Sam's vision is that there are many worlds in existence, a multiverse of bizarre and interesting places very unlike the world he grew up in. He wants to visit them all. But not simply as some sort of interplanetary or dimension-hopping tourist. Rather, he sees himself as a small but integral participant in each world. Not an outsider to the places in question, but a minor cog in each world's mechanism, a tiny but important piece of the eco-system. Typically he envisions himself in the role of some form of trouble-shooter, either native to the place or introduced into it's society through some special set of rules and trained in it's ways.

OBSESSIONS

  • I want there to be access to other worlds (2) (1 tick) (satisfied)
  • I want to play a vital role in every culture (2) (2 tick)
  • I want to experience a thousand strange worlds (2) (1 tick)
  • I want to be a jack-of-all-trades (2) (1 tick)
  • I want to be unobtrusive (1)

LIMTIATIONS

  • I am afraid of what might be out there (2)
  • I am never an insider (2)
  • I have my own standards of what is right (2)
  • I need to spend more time with my family (2)
  • I am the ace of none. (I'm not a true expert in any specific area.) (1)

BACKGROUND

Sam is thin, though not to the point of being gaunt, and has a slight slouch. His face generally has a couple days growth of whiskers and hair is normally brown, although the style changes depending on the culture he's fitting into (ie. buzz cut in high tech worlds, tonsure among the rune chanters, longer with pony tail among the neolithics, etc.). Sam is fascinated by the universe in general and each of it's myriad details in particular. As a result his face generally bears a slight smile of either amusement or interest.

His clothes tend to be whatever is considered a functional work-garment for any given occasion. His trademark is a leather satchel always carried over one shoulder, containing tools, food (generally some sort of energy bars or dried rations), first aid supplies, a change of clothes, or other essentials.
